Issa Sadi Ebombolo is the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC)’s peace coordinator in Zambia. He is also a cofacilitator at the Africa Peace Institute (API) in Johannesburg in South Africa, along with his wife, Pamela Siyanchobezhi. Issa and Pamela have a 13-year old daughter named Faraja Sadi. Issa, who is a Congolese born in Bujumbura, Burundi in 1969, earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Art in Development Studies at the Zambian Open University, and holds a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Waterloo in Canada. He is a co-founder of Peace Clubs, and has founded several peace initiatives in schools, religious institutions and prisons in Canada.
